Olly Murs and Sol has an operation

I wrote a letter to Olly Murs as I am a huge fan and adore him. I wrote about when and how I found out about him. I wrote about me and my dream is to meet him and I drew a picture of him with his name underneath. I can’t wait for a reply.

Sol also had an operation on her left eye as she was born with a squint. She only stayed for one day but she can’t see very well.¬† She is definitely getting better though. She has medicines and isn’t allowed to swim, jump, play outside or run for one week. She is teary and doesn’t like the drops for her eyes but she waited 7 years for this operation so it’s well worth it.

If you look at this picture Sol is wearing an eye patch because her left eye is also half blind so it was strengthening it for operation. Sol hopefully no longer has to wear patches but when she did she stuck them everywhere, Dad had them inside and outside his car, I had them decorating our bedroom and the shops had them dotted about too. Although Sol still needs glasses I am happy her squint is fixed.

Olivia is recovering!

Yesterday we took Olivia to the vet and the vet said she is recovering and may even get her whole nose back! Isn’t that great news!
Today the weather was amazing so we put our shorts on and played outside. We made a Sun bathing club which was so funny because Sol put her bikini on and ran around with Olivia following behind!

Today Animal had more exams so we went shopping!! I got a t-shirt with flowers and a vest top with boats on it. Sol got a bouncy ball and Seb got jeans and a UFO disc flinging toy. I went into two shops, one where I got the clothes and the toys and the other where we got some juices and sweets. When I got home Olivia was hyper and chewed every thing and anything she could fit in her mouth.Daddy was at work so we baked cupcakes before Mummy went to work for our neighbour who’s birthday is tomorrow. I also made a card which had cupcakes on.
We made twenty four cupcakes from this recipe.

You will need:

Extra equipment:
A bun tin(s) and paper cases

6 eggs
300g butter – softened
300g sugar
350g self-raising flour
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
4 drops scarlet food colouring (optional)

For the topping:
300g butter – softened
500g icing sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
4 drops of hot water
4 drops of scarlet food colouring

1. Put the paper cases in the bun tin(s).

2. Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat lightly with a fork.

3. Place the butter, sugar, flour and vanilla into a large bowl. Add the beaten egg and four drops of scarlet food colouring.

4. Beat with an electric mixer for two minutes, untill the mixture is light and creamy.

5. Use a teaspoon to transfer equal amounts of the mixture to the paper cases. Bake the cupcakes for 18-20 minutes. Leave them to cool on a wire rack.

6. For the topping, beat together the butter and icing sugar. Once well mixed add the vanilla, food colouring and water. Beat untill smooth and creamy. Swirl over your cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles.

Swimming and Olivia at the vets

Today Animal had exams so I got up at six am and I went to a swimming pool. It was a very special pool as there was a wave making machine that sent out HUGE waves. I had great fun and went in the deep end a lot so I could get BIG splashes. We were extremely lucky and the waves were turned on twice especially for us! After swimming I walked Olivia in to town and bought sweeties at a shop. I then took Olivia to the vet (because of her Friday incident)and the vet said that she is recovering and her nose might get better but she still has to take her special medicines though. I helped tidy up and then had yummy pasta bake for dinner. I then got into my pajamas and watched Doctor Who in my bedroom while I ate my sweets with Seb and Sol. I had an amazing day.

Poor Olivia

Today I was walking through the market again and walked over by the boats near the park when a couple stopped with a mini Chihuahua  called poppy and a Staffordshire named Lola.

So the couple were telling us about how pretty Olivia is when Lola jumped up and ripped a part off Olivia’s nose.

The couple were very apologetic and bought Olivia the medicine she needed but we had to take Olivia to the vet. The couple were sensible and kept Lola away from Olivia but poor Olivia doesn’t have enough skin on her nose left to have her nose repaired. I am vert upset and Olivia could get an infection but I love her even more for being brave. We never got the picnic at the park we wanted but the main thing is Olivia is ok. She is not in perfect condition but I still love her very much.

Chocolate Marshmallows And The Continental Market.

Today I went to a Continental market near where I live. At the market me,Sol, and Seb bought HUGE chocolate marshmallows kebabs each and they were delicious! They were so big me and Sol didn’t finish the whole thing.
At the same stall there was pineapples arranged like palm trees. I thought they looked really awesome.

At the market we also bought some salami and some cheese. We got jalapeno cheese which is very very very Spicy!

We went past a stall with lots of sweets.
We went past a stall with wooden carved animals. There was a tarantula that looks cool.

We talked Spanish to a man and he was very impressed. We had great fun and will maybe go again tomorrow.

We then walked Olivia on the beach.

Picnics on the beach

My wee sister Sol had been wanting a picnic on the beach for ages but the weather was not good enough but today we woke up and it was sunny and warm so we decided as a surprise we would bring Olivia and we would take Sol for a picnic on the beach. We walked all the way there and went to our local store and bought some sausage rolls, apples and some orange juice. When we got to the beach we ate our lunch and then we played football and basketball in the sand. It was great fun untill Animal tripped over a rock and hurt his leg but don’t worry he was alright in the end. We made our way home and played out side the rest of the day.

Cookies and hyper Olivia

Today my big brother Animal was doing exams so I made cookies. I put jelly tot sweets in them but they melted in the oven so we had a lump of yummy sticky stuff in each cookie. The recipe is,

2 cups plain flour, 1/2 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 3/4 melted butter, 1 cup packed brown sugar,1/2 cup white sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, 1egg and 1 egg yolk and 4 mini bags of jelly tots.
Put oven to 165 degrees c. Sift together flour, bicarbonate of soda and salt. Cream together butter and sugar beat in vanilla and eggs. Mix untill just blended. Bake for 15-17 mins.

Perfect with a cup of tea. I also walked Olivia (or should I say she walked me) down the road and she went hyper!! I was walking her and then she just started running in circles and tying me up with her lead. I managed to bring her home but she was still very hyper and ran in and out the kitchen while mummy was making dinner like mad! If you would have saw her you would know what I mean.

Olivia looking innocent.

Good luck mama frog.

Today we went to the wetlands and we brought our puppy Olivia with us. Olivia was over the moon to go out for a walk so we walked the whole way around the wetlands. We were walked through a forest tunnel place and played a game as they had signs that said stuff like, this animal eats flies and has webbed feet, what is it? We played a game to see who could guess the answer. Most of the time it was Seb. We walked over to a little stream and daddy saw a frog so he very carefully lifted up the frog for us to see it. We then noticed this was a mama frog laying her frogspawn! It was amazing to see as I have never seen a frog in real life. We then carefully put the frog back in the stream so it could finish laying it’s eggs.

Here is a picture of the mama frog laying her frogspawn.
